I love your stuffies! Especially the E.T. So sweet. I think I also have the same blanket - is it plaid on the one side and brown faux fur on the other? How is sweet Candy doing now?
The ET is one of my favourites! (My very first beloved stuffie was an ET doll that I lost when I was 6 years old, this one I found at a wondrous vintage crafters market in 2024!)
The plaid blanket has a grey fluffy underneath, and I love that you have a similar one!
Candy is all healed up and a happy pup! Thank you for asking!
Thank you! I’m definitely lucky to have her in my life, and doing the best I can to make sure she has a magical life. She seems to be doing so much better today! 💖
I’m sending so many good vibes your way for your precious doggo - do update when you can please. I will restack with a photo of my stuffed friends … though I only have a few.
Nelson does look like a pound puppy! He isn’t one, but I did love pound puppies and had one of my own when I was a kid. It had so many wrinkles.
Candy is doing so much better, she and I rested all day yesterday together and then I stayed up most of the night to care for her. Today I made her a little snuggle house where she’d be safe while I was at work and my partner checked in on her on and off all day.
Now she’s back to snuggling with me and even ate and drank her food! The PT parts of her care are so well laid out too, with a week to week guide on how to help her recover her mobility and learn to walk with her newly rebuilt knee.
I feel grateful that they didn’t judge me when I told them how long it would take to raise the money for her surgery. I am also grateful that they managed to do the most they could for the money I was able to scrape together.
Thank you for the hugs. I’m writing this from bed and so glad to be home with my pup.
I’d love to see your stuffed friends! I have an ET, and a giant bunny named Bunsqually, a dragon named Gray, and somewhere in a box is a 39 year old purple velour pterodactyl named Oasis that my grandmother bought be when I was six. The wire in her wings has long given out, and she is my absolute favourite.
Feel better soon Candy! You are so loved! Sending you gentle hugs too Wake, I’ve walked this path and even when they’re in amazing hands, its hard not to worry for our fuzzy besties. Mac, Stu and Avi all send their healing doggo vibes too.
The healings vibes came through! I pick her up in an hour and the vet was surprised at how good her knee actually was and didn’t have to do the extreme surgery he thought! So her healing will be easier.

I’m so glad she’s doing better and that the vet helped her without judgment or requiring payment in full. That’s a kind vet!
Enjoy having your pup home with you and I’m sending all my spare good vibes for a smooth recovery and restful night.

Glad to hear that things turned out alright for your dog! And that you managed through it. Our dogs are such infiltrators to our hearts.💕
