What a delight to meet Joyce and Janice and to know a bit about how they not only contribute to your wholeness but also to ours, helping us connect as community. What wonders two little digits can create! Wishing Joyce a speedy recovery!
Ha! I loved your prompt so much. And I love that these two fingers are now gentle supportive queer partners in life, who help each other out, but live distinct lives of their own, too.
Thank you for giving me the whimsical permission to ask their names.
Joyce wants to thank you for your concern. She’s healing up nicely and even decided to type this message for you.
My phone tells me it's now half-past five in the evening where you are, so I hope your Tuesday so far has been: settled, calm, gentle. - With mugs now clean.
It's Wednesday morning here and the cuckoo has just popped out eight times. I've been out to refresh the water for the creatures, and to give some of the garden a drink.
Time for brekky, half a cup of coffee, and a Singapore Breakfast tea. The tea is always in its special mug, and the coffee in one of two small mugs for me (and one of three giant mugs for my partner T).
The Pear House sounds so welcoming, and so undemanding at the same time. 🥰
It is now 6:30pm where I am, and my day had two spirited conversation podcasts in it (which I’d forgotten). The first one was so spirited that I wrote the pear house to calm myself.
The second was gentle and thoughtful.
I finished the mugs, didn’t get to the laundry…and made a soup that I’ll never be able to duplicate that is DELICIOUS (I ended up putting two scoops of special crab apple jelly in it for sweetness and acidity)
I promised my barista tomorrow some spiced chicken soup and how very spiced it is.
I wish I could pop in for a cup of Singapore tea. My partner’s soup is cooking so they will be able to eat it once they are finished work.

Your community has grown from what was already with you! They sound like wonderful role models, too 🥰
Brava, Joyce! Well done!

Gentle hellos from here 💖
