I find the sound of wind in trees so soothing! Thank you! I’m glad you had a day to regulate your nervous system! And what lovely visitors! 🦌🦌🐾🐾🐌🐌💝💝🧚♀️🧚♀️🌈🌈🕊️🕊️
I find the wind in the trees just as soothing (if not more so, maybe because of where I grew up) as the ocean waves. I’m so grateful for this tiny forest in my backyard.

Hiss or Kiss
Place: a tangled spot in the garden
Time: Last summer, as human got close whilst weeding
Sound: Hisssssssssss!
Big pink two-legged creature backs off,
Preferring not the kiss of fang or snapping reptilian jaws.
Ha! I also thought to do a snake or reptilian something with this prompt!
Luci was hoping to invoke a cat by a Heather, and got a snake encounter by an Australian Heather instead!
The world works in mysterious ways 💖
(I appreciate you so very much!)
Snakes: important in the ecosystem, and also rather... to be cautious about. - And to be kind to.
When my kids were small, I bought them a CD by Don Spencer called "Feathers, Fur or Fins"; a lovely album about all kinds of animals.
There was a snake song, and I still remember the chorus:
"Don't ever step on a snake,
Or you're making a big mistake!
For the sake of your protection,
I suggest you change direction.
Get out of there for good, for goodness' sake!
Don't ever step on a snake;
The surprise may be more than he can take.
And you'd feel the same way too,
If someone stepped on you,
While you're lying in the sunshine, half awake!
Be kind to old Joe Blake:
Never ever step upon a snake."
Ah: empathy and respect. That's a good attitude.
I love this so much! (And snakes too) 💖
Love this :) <3
I love that: hiss or kiss. I may use that as an art prompt later when i'm off work. I love your tree video.
If you do and want to share the result, I’m sure Luci (the creator of the prompt) and I would be so very excited to see it!
Yes! Very excited <3
