Draw a rabbit playing a violin
It’s ok to laugh with ourselves
Draw a rabbit playing a violin
My twelve year old came up with this prompt. Usually I choose something that I feel semi-comfortable drawing for the last prompt of the week. This was not it.
I took the pressure off myself by not using a reference photo, and drawing it on a bag meant for recycling so it is ephemeral art. I only gave myself three minutes to draw it.
And when it was done I let myself laugh at my attempt. A gentle knowing laugh. Because this rabbit isn’t very rabbit-like and it is playing the violin so very wrong.
And it is ok to make bad art. And it’s okay to love it for it for what it is.
Heart,
Wake

That's one of the more rabbit like upright rabbits I've seen 😄I love this. Silly doodles make me super happy, I make them all the time! More writing prompts should come from 12 year olds.
Wake, have you played, "Draw a piglet with your eyes closed"? It's making bad art with new people that can become good friends.
