Cribbage, chess
…and a most handsome cat and a day in the life a small town whimsical human
It’s Wednesday and I’m sitting in a cafe writing my tiny book and putting up the tiny book prompts for the week. (I was but then my wondrous cribbage group arrived, so it’s still not done)
(I totally forgot to put these up on actual Wednesday!)

This one was written after I delivered my curator report at the art gallery meeting and went off mic and off camera.

The sun is shining. I got ten hours sleep. I got up early to visit a friend and her amazing cat to whom I’m not allergic!
(Isn’t he such a handsome guy?!) My friend also made me fresh cookies, and bagels!
Then I played chess.
…and won! But it’s really the friendship and kindness I show up for.
After I went to my cribbage game.
…and lost! But friendship, y’all is the most magical thing.
Then I went back to Curious & Kind and had a storytelling meeting with a good friend from Dallas. It was MAGICAL. We now have future plans to teach storytelling together at a festival (if you have a storytelling festival that needs workshops…hit me up). (The octopuses needed a family photo)
Then I had sushi and chatted with my friends at the sushi restaurant.
And now I have to attend the art gallery board meeting! Be back soon!
And the meeting is finished! Woot!
And now I’m walking my dog before I drive to The Rosefinch Post for Signed, Sealed & Delivered. An epistolary book club. The beautiful brainchild of my friend Audra. Chosen because she runs a post office cafe with her wondrous husband and where there is even a pen pal night to write letters.
I love her and I love this theme!
…and while today was brought to you by ten hours sleep, accidentally overbooking myself, and a weirdly spring-feeling day…it is sort of typical of my life here in Lunenburg.
…and I will miss this magic, absurdly, when I move to the city.
But my friends assure me that magic is portable, and that if I just continue to be my friendly and brightly hued self…more magic may arrive.
But for now…I’m just so grateful for beautiful days like these.

Oh I’m pretty sure the reason you can be nomadic is because you bring your magic with you. Wouldn’t work otherwise. 😉
Some days just flow, and pop, and oooze delight. Heart smiling for this. 🥰
