Thank you for the clip! What a fabulous earworm. The song was faintly familiar, and it was dee-licious! I don't remember having seen the spectacularly funky clip before.

In my forties, having finally shed the label of "clumsy" that my dad gave me, I did bellydance classss for maybe five or so years. I recognised at least one move on the clip! - What joy! -So even though I'm in bed currently (I will get up soon), recovering from something, my heart and imagination were *definitely* grooving. Thank you, Wake.

Succotash? I'm glad you explained what it is. I think the only time I heard of it, growing up, was Sylvester the cat's exclamation: "Suffering succotash!". Ha. It does sound like delicious, warming, comfort food.

I had lovely albeit conservative friends in the 1980s, and by the late 80s was married. Thank goodness my brilliant sister, and other friends, helped me gradually to find a wider scene. Anyway: this meant no drugs for me either, as a teen or twentysomething! I am impressed that you had the integrity to find a place of having fun whilst helping keep yourself and others safe.

Finally: how heart-warming, how toes-toastingly brilliant, to feel held and surrounded by belonging in your town. All those lovely humans!

- Additional: cool toaster! 🍞 As a child once I saw a clown who got the group to chant "Toast! Is life!" This for some reason has stuck with me.

Wow - now I have a bunch of stuff to write further about, if I want. Thanks for the fun!

Enjoy your weekend, Wake. 💕 🕺 🕺 💃
